English/ESL

The goal of the program is to produce students who become fluent in English and ready to function as productive members of the American Society. The complete program is divided in ten levels covering from basic grammar to conversational. Each level is offered in four different schedules during the day in 25 classes of two hours each/two or three days a week or on 15 Saturdays of four hours of instructional time.

Each class is limited to 25 students. Instruction utilizes Pearson Education ESL Side by Side book, workbook, CDs, and other teacher generated material. There is a placement test for new students prior to instruction. Our instructors are trained in the specific material utilized in class and in ESL teaching techniques. Other training occurs in a bi-weekly Saturday meeting. Additionally the student has access to the computer lab at any time during the day where s/he can access software programs that target the instruction material received in class.
